Troy has gained valuable experience being employed in the areas of insurance, small business and banking. While working in the banking industry, he broadened his financial skills by becoming a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional in 2005. The CFP® designation, showing professionalism and high ethics in financial planning, was an interest he explored while earning his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Wyoming.
In 2010, Troy was blessed to embark on a financial services career and begin a mentoring relationship with Dennis and Connie Wiedeman, our firm founder’s and later business partners. Dennis’s professional background as a CPA allowed him to understand that taxes are one of the biggest risks to creating wealth. Dennis was a groundbreaking leader and visionary in bringing the fields of wealth management and tax management together. Troy states, “Learning the process of how to marry investment solutions while concentrating on the tax situations of clients has brought invaluable benefits for me; therefore, allowing clients to keep more of what they make or earn.”
Troy invests his time and talents back into the community; helping to serve in various civic events and community organizations. Also, he is active as an usher at his church, St. Agnes Catholic Church. Troy’s interests include traveling and camping with family along with striking up the grill to cook. Additional activities include golfing, attending Wyoming Cowboy Football games and attending local high school sporting and musical events. Troy and his wife, Carol have been blessed to have two children, Scott and Emma.
